The property is one of the best ones I have ever stayed in Sri Lanka. You feel luxurious as soon as you enter in, where the staff welcomes you to light up the oil to feel at home. The hotel has also kept the nature around, building houses around trees and including them in the design. It looks like a town village where you can go around and discover new and beautiful corners at every step. There is even a bathtub facing the lake of Giritale and you can enjoy a bath with an incredible view. The staff is super helpful and the food was delicious! We had buffet dinner there and we enjoyed every plate. The breakfast was also really delicious!

Great clean hotel on a huge property in the middle of the jungle. Rooms are big and quiet. At night you hear jungle noises of all the animals. Great experience! The bathroom is outdoors, which is fantastic. The staff is exceptional and always at your service. The guy responsible for the pool is really friendly and there to help. Our first night the hotel didn't have a lot of guests so we had to order dinner a la carte. The dinner was good. The second night there were more people in the hotel and we could take the buffet dinner and breakfast. The buffet is exceptional. Both the dinner and breakfast. I don't think I have ever in my life had such a nice tasting buffet. Compliments to the cooks and staff. Our driver Rajith was also a great companion during our stay in Sri Lanka. The swimming pool was wonderful and the outdoor showers were lovely. Loved that there was a pool table and such a selection of mocktails. Staff super polite, but so reserved that we didn't feel like we were with friends, like you do at a smaller hotel. The fish ponds are divine.

The hotel setting was amazing. With a lot of spaces to sit and relax and wonderful view to the lake. The outdoor shower was a very nice and modern feature. Bed was comfortable The pool was lovely and it was always attended by the poolman guarding us from the monkeys

The style and cleanliness were good. The inside/outside bathroom was novel. Comfortable bed. The reception area and gardens are stunning.

The room was beautiful, with a very nice view of the lake and the bathroom was amazing, the experience of having shower in the middle of the nature is so great! We also enjoy having drinks at night in the beautiful garden in front of the lake. The breakfast and the dinner is delicious. We took a massage and it was so relaxing… a perfect place to enjoy the nature (safaris are quite near) and relax

location is wonderful by lake - plenty of places to sit around pool and in beautiful garden leading to lake views and on terrace by restaurant (choice of sun or shade everywhere) - staff super helpful and friendly especially pool attendant and restaurant manager - great for us, but sad for hotel, we were one of only two couples on second night in this 80 room hotel - bungalow room was very elegant with delightful open air bathroom (although nowhere to sit outside) - this would be a great time to visit!!!!!!

The staff were wonderful & they accommodated our family very well. Notably we wanted Sri Lankan dishes not offered on the menu and they gladly catered for this. We stayed with two young kids and they loved the wildlife that is available at the property.
